Crochet Mushroom Coaster

I’m excited to share my latest crochet project—a mushroom-shaped coaster! This cute, handmade fall decor is perfect for brightening up your table while enjoying coffee or tea with friends and family. I hope you love it as much as I do!
Here’s What You’ll Need to Get Started:
- Worsted-weight yarn (size 4) in any colour of your choice for your mushrooms.
- 4.5 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Darning Needle
Abbreviations
- Ch – Chain
- Sc – Single crochet
- Inc – Increase
- Dec – Decrease
- St – Stitches
Without further ado, let’s get started!
With White:
- Ch 9, 8 sc (8 st)
- 8 sc (8 st)
- 8 sc. (8 st). Cut the yarn.
With Red (or any colour of your choice):
- Chain 6, work 8 single crochets across the white section, then chain 6 at the end.(20 st)
- 20 sc. (20 st)
- 1 inc, 18 sc, 1 inc (22 st)
- 22 sc (22 st)
- 22 sc (22 st)
- 1 Dec, 20 sc (21 st)
- 1 Dec, 19 sc (20 st)
- 1 Dec, 18 sc (19 st)
- 1 Dec, 17 sc (18 st)
- 1 Dec, 16 sc (17 st)
- 1 dec, 15 sc (16 st)
- 1 dec, 14 sc (15 st)
- 1 dec, 13 sc (14 st)
- 1 dec, 10 sc, 1 dec (12 st)
- 1 dec, 8sc, 1 dec (10 st)
- 1 dec, 6 sc, 1 dec (8 st)
- 1 dec, 4 sc, 1 dec (6 st)
- 3 Dec. (3 st)
After completing the last row, begin crocheting around the edge. Start with red yarn, switch to white when you reach the stem, and then switch back to red when working around the top.
